I’m in the market for a truck. Really, which is the best?

I’m looking to buy an American brand, 4-door, 2WD, Automatic transmission, with a 6-foot bed and a V-8 engine. I’m planning to use the truck to commute back and forth, light hauling and towing, take it fishing, long trips once in a while, etc. I hear all the arguments between lovers of Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, and they all say the same thing. So really, what advantages does one have over the other?

ive never owned a dodge but I have owned both chevy’s and ford’s and in my opinion they are both near identical. what it comes down to is comfort for me. I found that on longer trips a Ford was the more comfortable truck. so actually its just comes down to personal preference. Since our only doing light hauling id probably go with a V6 instead of a V8. Either truck in V8 will waste a lot of gas lol. Id go with a Ford.
