They say he has a domain under. Net (which should be called timmy.net example), then someone buys and fill timmy.com ads and affiliate links. Given that "Timmy" is a trademark or a real name (such Once a nickname), the purchase of the CMO. for this purpose is illegal?
It is common for people to buy the domain of the same name with a different extension (dot com or net or on TV or the information, etc) and expect people to use the tip on it and click an ad to leave. As described, I would bet it would not illegal at all. I bought several domain names at GoDaddy and are ready to verify that they always try to sell other extensions to protect its name primary domain.
