Attractive vs Mega Strike Fish Gulp alive?
Has anyone used this before? And what is the best lake in freshwater catfish?
I used both, and I like going to the beach of Mega. It is impressive in its soft plastic, and all you need is a little bit. This is a tube of 7.8 dollars, but goes a long, long! Of course it is lower with soft plastics fishing (but works equally well in hardbaits!) For catfish'm more Gulp Alive.

Year of the Fish - $19.99 Writer/director David Kaplan offers a new spin on the familiar Cinderella story with this visually inventive tale of a hopeful Chinese immigrant who discovers that life in New York City isn’t for the faint of heart after being forced to work in a shady massage partner. Shot on video and subsequently rotoscoped to take on a slightly surreal look, Year of the Fish opens to find wide-eyed Chinese immigrant Ye Xian (An Nguyen) arriving in New York City in hopes of raising some money to send back to her ailing father overseas. Soon falling into the neon-lit lair of “massage parlor” madame Mrs. Su (Tsai Chin), Ye is forced to do all of the cooking and cleaning after refusing to service her clientele as instructed. All the while, Ye’s only sense of solace comes thanks to a growing fish bestowed upon her by a mysterious hunchback named Auntie Yaga (Randall Duk Kim). Meanwhile, Ye longs to catch the eye of kindhearted jazz musician Johnny (Ken Leung) while fending off unwanted advances of Mrs. Su’s depraved and persistent son. Just when it begins to seem as if Ye’s situation cannot get any more grim, a lavish party staged to celebrate the Chinese New Year leads to a most unanticipated turn of events. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi |

Kettle of Fish - $9.99 Opposites attract in the close quarters of a one bedroom apartment in this romantic comedy from first-time director Claudia Meyers. Mel (Matthew Modine) plays saxophone with a jazz band, and the only thing he’s ever pursued with the same passion as his music is women, whom he loves and leaves on a regular basis. However, Mel has decided it’s time that he finally made a commitment to something besides his pet goldfish, and agrees to move in with his latest girlfriend, Inga (Ewa Da Cruz). This means giving up his apartment, which Mel sublets to Ginger (Gina Gershon), a pretty but seriously geeky scientist who has come to New York from the U.K. to study the sexual habits of frogs. One day, while riding a ferry, Mel literally runs into Diana (Christy Cashman), a beautiful blonde wearing a wedding dress, and he immediately falls head over heels for her. The fact Mel has been hired to play Diana’s wedding reception (not to mention the fact Diana fully intends to marry someone who isn’t Mel) doesn’t dissuade him from trying to court her, and Mel moves out of Inga’s place and into his old flat. Trouble is, Ginger refuses to move out, and being forced to share the apartment doesn’t agree with either of them. But before long, Ginger’s frogs begin displaying an unusual attraction to Mel’s fish, just as the free-spirited musician and the uptight scientist discover they have more in common than they thought. Kettle of Fish received its world premier at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi |

Feed the Fish - $19.99 Successful children’s book author Joe Peterson (Ross Partridge) attempts to beat a bad case of writer’s block by spending Christmas in Wisconsin, and discovers that a little winter chill might be just the ticket to recapturing his creativity. Most Christmases, you might find Joe soaking up the sun on Venice Beach. But this year, the best-selling scribe just isn’t feeling like himself. When Joe confesses to his best pal JP (Michael Chernus) that his imagination has simply stalled out, JP suggests that a few weeks in the Midwest may be just the thing to reawaken his muse. Upon arriving in the wintery Wisconsin town, Joe finds the cheerfulness of the quirky locals slightly grating. Later, when Joe strikes up a friendship with amiable Axel Anderson (Barry Corbin), things quickly start to look up. And though Axel’s granddaughter Sif (Katie Aselton) quickly takes a shine to Joe as well, her father (Tony Shalhoub), the local sheriff, makes it crystal clear that he doesn’t very much care for the newcomer. In an effort to recharge his creative batteries and ingratiate himself to the standoffish sheriff, Joe begins taking part in such small town traditions as singing with the church choir and taking a chilly Christmas Day dip in Lake Michigan. Inspired by his invigorating new adventures, the author quickly learns that the best way to beat the blues and live life to the fullest is to simply get out of his comfort zone and embrace the thrill of new experiences. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi |

Her outlook begins to changes with the arrival of Chantelle (Alfre Woodard), a nurse with her own life problems. Go Fish – Subtitle $12.99 This hit arthouse ensemble piece traces the romantic and political ups and downs of a group of multicultural Chicago lesbians. The central story involves an unlikely romance between Max (Guinevere Turner), a hip young babe, and Ely (V.S. Brodie), a slightly older woman involved in a long-term, long-distance relationship that’s basically a smokescreen for her fear of romantic risk. When the pair are introduced by Max’s roommate, teacher/activist Kia (T. Wendy McMillan), Max isn’t interested in Ely, whose long hair, hippie accoutrements, and fondness for decaffeinated herbal tea don’t impress the younger, more fashion-conscious woman. Soon, though, fate, friends, and Ely’s butch new hairstyle conspire to push the women closer together. As this new romance inches along, the pair’s friends have problems of their own: Kia must help her closeted girlfriend, Evy (Migdalia Melendez), come to grips with the disapproval of her conservative Latina mother, while their pal Daria (Anastasia Sharp) incurs the disapproval of the lesbian community for her decision to sleep with a man. Filmed in black and white on-location in Chicago, Go Fish features a number of non-standard narrative devices, most notably the Greek chorus, or “jury,” of lesbians who comment on not only the plot, but also the political and social ramifications thereof. Shown in competition at Sundance in 1994, Go Fish went on to earn critical and commercial success and establish the careers of director Rose Troche and actress Turner, who together co-wrote and co-produced the picture. Turner would appear in several additional indies and co-write the script for American Psycho, while Troche would go on to helm 1998′s Bedrooms & Hallways. ~ Brian J. Dillard, Rovi |

Little Fish – Subtitle Dolby $8.99 A former drug-addict in her early thirties attempts to put her shady past to rest while paving the way for a brighter future in director Rowan Woods’ tale of love, trust, and redemption in modern-day Australia. Tracy Heart (Cate Blanchett) hasn’t lived her 32 years so much as she has simply survived them. Ravaged by the drug-addiction and determined to redeem herself in the eyes of her overworked single-mother Janelle (Noni Hazelhurst), Tracy makes a personal vow to open her own business and turn her life around before it’s too late and life has passed her by. Tracy’s plan is complicated, however, when three men from her past reappear with their own plans for the future. In addition to the troubling re-appearance of her ex-boyfriend Jonny (Dustin Nguyen), her criminal-minded brother Ray (Martin Henderson) seems hell-bent on making a name for himself in the underworld, and the emotional demands of troubled family friend and ex-football star Lionel Dawson (Hugo Weaving) have left the emotionally vulnerable Tracy shaken and confused. When Tracy’s modest dreams of a happy life catch the attention of feared criminal kingpin Bradley “The Jockey” Thompson (Sam Neill), she is forced to place her fragile trust in the hands of her skeptical mother and take one last trip into the past to confront her greatest fear. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi |

Fish Out of Water – Fullscreen $19.99 Director Ky Dickens takes on two controversial topics in one film in this documentary about religion and homosexuality. A former sorority girl at Vanderbilt University, Dickens came out of the closet her senior year. She’s heard all the Biblical passages implying that being gay is like buying an express ticket to Hell, yet her understanding of the Good Book doesn’t necessarily jive with the interpretations of the mainstream religious masses. In this film, Dickens dissects seven passages from both parts of the Christian Biblical canon with the help of noted theologians and members of the gay community. The conclusions they come to may alter your perception of both religion and homosexuality, and prompt you to see the heated debate over gay marriage from an entirely new angle. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi |

Big Fish – Widescreen Dubbed Subtitle Dolby $14.99 Tim Burton directs the fantasy drama Big Fish, based on the book Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions by Southern writer/illustrator Daniel Wallace. Billy Crudup plays William Bloom, a young man who never really knew his dying father, Edward (Albert Finney) outside of the tall tales he told about growing up, making his way, and meeting his mother (played as a young woman by Alison Lohman and in older age by Jessica Lange). During Edward’s last days, William and his wife Josephine (Marion Cotillard) hold bedside vigil as the old man recollects elaborate memories of his youth (in which he is played by Ewan McGregor). Still doubting the the legends and folklore, William makes a journey to meet a mysterious woman (Helena Bonham Carter) from whom Edward had bought property. Steve Buscemi and Danny De Vito also star. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, Rovi |

A Fish Called Wanda – Widescreen Collector’s Dubbed $12.99 In A Fish Called Wanda, Jamie Lee Curtis plays an ambitious con artist who uses every ounce of her sexual wiles to obtain a fortune in jewels stolen by her gangster lover Tom Georgeson. First, she romances Georgeson’s dimwitted but deadly henchman Kevin Kline (who won an Academy Award for his performance). Then, to clear the path for her getaway with Kline, Jamie woos Georgeson’s starched-shirt attorney, John Cleese — and it’s Cleese whom she genuinely falls in love with. Michael Palin, Cleese’s former Monty Python cohort, plays a stuttering mob flunkey who continually messes up his one big assignment: killing a little old lady (it isn’t that he has any qualms about knocking off the old dear; it’s just that her pet dogs keep getting in the way). A Fish Called Wanda was scripted by star John Cleese. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi |

Home to the largest yellowfin in the world, this 90-minute video hoists anchor for a 36-hour nonstop feast of first-rate fishing courtesy of Michael Fowlkes Productions and long-range fishing pioneer Bill Poole. I’m Reed Fish – Widescreen Subtitle Dolby $12.99 Reed Fish (Jay Baruchel of Million Dollar Baby and Undeclared) seems to be leading the life he’s supposed to. He’s followed in the footsteps of his late father, doing an early-morning radio show with the town’s mayor, Maureen (Katey Sagal), through which the eccentric locals of Mud Meadows voice their complaints and have them addressed. He produces the show with his old high school buddy, Frank (Victor Rasuk), and he’s engaged to be married to another high school chum, the gorgeous Kate Peterson (Alexis Bledel), whose dad (Blake Clark) seems to own every business in town. But Reed’s plans are upended when his high school sweetheart, Jill (Schuyler Fisk), comes back to town. She’s supposed to be away at law school, but she confides to Reed that she quit school years ago, and has been working as a waitress while she fruitlessly pursues a career in music. Reed encourages her to play on Open Mike Night at the local bar. He inspires her to find her voice, which leads to some complications in his relationship with Kate, forcing Reed to reexamine every aspect of his safe, secure life. I’m Reed Fish also features performances by DJ Qualls, Chris Parnell, and Shiri Appleby. The comedy marks the feature debut of director Zackary Adler, and had its world premiere at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. ~ Josh Ralske, Rovi |

Rumble Fish – Widescreen Dubbed Subtitle AC3 $8.99 One of two S.E. Hinton novels Francis Ford Coppola directed in 1983, Rumble Fish is a stylized black-and-white film about the death of gang culture in a rough-and-tumble town full of stunted youths. The central character is the strutting Rusty James (Matt Dillon), a foul-mouthed lunkhead clad in sweaty tank tops, who passes his time at the billiards hall waiting for “something” to happen in his life. That something might be the return of his brother, known only as the Motorcycle Boy (Mickey Rourke), from exile in California. Charismatic and intelligent, the Motorcycle Boy once led numerous wide-eyed followers into battle, into the “rumbles” once commonplace in town. Rusty James wants to take over that role, but lacks the smarts necessary for leadership, nearly getting himself killed in an opening fight. The Motorcycle Boy stops the fight with equal parts efficiency and cool, and Rusty James seems delighted by his brother’s return. But it quickly becomes clear that a local cop (William Smith) is still gunning for the Motorcycle Boy, waiting for him to slip up, even though the mysterious youth has developed a weary philosophy of life and a skeptical view of his former power. As the Motorcycle Boy seems more and more distant, lost in deaf and color-blind fugues, Rusty James gets into greater trouble, running afoul of his girlfriend (Diane Lane) and friends (Nicolas Cage, Christopher Penn, Vincent Spano), and seeming on the path to destruction. ~ Derek Armstrong, Rovi |
